A VACUUM SPLINT FOR USE IN ORTHOPAEDIC OPERATIONS

1. The principle of the vacuum splint is described.

2. A simple, cheap operating splint has been found useful to replace sandbags and other supports.

3. Applications to commonly practised orthopaedic operations are discussed.
