Sir,

I read this article with interest. There are two aspects I wish to comment on.

Although the two radiographs (Figs 2 and 3) are not comparable, resorption of the neck of the femur, cavitation of the acetabulum in zone 1 and what appears to be proximal, medial migration of the cup with a decreasing angle open laterally, are not benign appearances.

Is there not a contradiction between Figure 3 and the statement: 'There were no radiolucent lines around the acetabular components'?

Will the authors be in a position to communicate the outcome of this case in due course, and meanwhile comment on this statement?
