Sir,

I would like to congratulate the authors on this interesting article. In the abstract they quote a worst case survival of 81.1% and a response rate of 58.6%; perhaps they could explain further? In the results they indicate an inverse relationship of patient age and implant survival, however, figure 5 seems to suggest the opposite. Figure 6 shows survival of the six most commonly used prostheses, indicating a best survival for Omnifit. This is not mentioned in their results or discussion.

I would be interested to hear further details.
