Re: Thermography

rharway{at}charter.net Robert Harway, et al.

Sir,

I read this paper with interest. I became involved in skin temperature measurements in 1980. I congratulate you for publishing this article. I would like to suggest that far more information would be gained by using electronic equipment. The newest cameras are comparable in size to a small video camera, and would yield unequivocal information, answering many of the questions left unanswered in the article. I realise that this equipment is expensive, but I am sure that the manufacturer would lend equipment to use for research. This technology was discredited in the USA because of abuses by chiropractors and so-called "expert" testimony in liability cases, but the basic science is still valid.
