The European Instructional Course Lectures series is designed to provide a concise summary of the major advances in orthopaedics and traumatology. The series is brought to you by the publishers of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, in collaboration with the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Trauma. Each volume comprises the postgraduate lectures presented at the EFORT two-yearly Congress, commencing with the Paris Congress in 1993.
