The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is available on disk, updated quarterly.

Subscription CD-ROM or DVD-R

A subscription to the Combined Volume of JBJS is available on DVD-R or CD-ROM. It contains all the text and images from 1996 to the end of the last quarter of both American and British Volumes and it is updated quarterly. It provides an electronic equivalent to the print subscription, with the advantages of speed of searching and electronic facilities such as copy and paste. In addition, subscribing to The Journal on the DVD-R or CD-ROM will provide you with free online access to The Journal.

Technical details for JBJS subscription DVD-R and CD-ROM

  • The DVD-R and the CD-ROM will run on most office and home computer systems with the requisite drive
  • Recommended minimum requirements for PC use: 8 MB RAM, 80486 or later processor and SVGA monitor 640x480
  • Recommended minimum requirements for Macintosh use: 8 MB RAM, 68030 or later processor (including Quadra and Power Mac) and 14" monitor with 256 colours
  • The disks run on Windows '95, '98, 2000, ME, XP or NT and Macintosh OS 7.1 to 9.0. It will only run on OSX in classic mode and will not run at all on newer Intel powered Macs.
  • All the necessary software is on the DVD-R and the CD-ROM, and installs itself automatically for first-time users, or updates existing files
  • Full technical support is included
