About the Journal

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is the world's leading orthopaedic publication in the English language, covering all aspects of orthopaedic surgery, trauma and rheumatology. It is available in 130 countries and bought by nearly 40,000 surgeons and physicians. All major scientific and medical libraries and commercial organisations subscribe to keep abreast of current developments in orthopaedics. Both American and British Volumes are rated in the top ten orthopaedic journals in the ISI Citation Index. High rejection rates mean that the papers that are published provide the current essential reading for every practising orthopaedic surgeon. Subscribing to the Journal either in the printed form or the Combined CD-ROM/DVD-R provides free online access to the full text.

Frequently asked questions

Subscribing to the JBJS

Generally, an institutional online subscription authorises use at a localised site. A "site" is an organisational unit, and may be academic or nonacademic. For organisations located in more than one city, each city office is considered a different site. For organisations within the same city that are administered independently, each office is considered a different site.

For example, each campus in the State University of New York system is considered a different site, and each branch or office of UpJohn Laboratories is considered a different site.
